Last week in Louisville I had the pleasure of hanging with some likeminded men who make bicycles and also support the sport. As a firm believer that (as Mr. Soichiro Honda so eloquently said) racing improves the breed, it pleases me immeasurably that others do too. In a sea of corporate brands who’ve all but taken over the conversation and wrested the racing market from the independent maker, it’s nice to see people like Paul Sadoff (Rock Lobster Cycles) and Don Walker (Team Handmade) helping others while keeping our little corner of the trade alive and vibrant.
