My years at the bench have brought me many gifts and memories. These include people I’ve met, Allen St. John among them. Ironically, Allen is from the same street in Bayonne that I am though we never met prior to his coming to Chester to write about me for Men’s Journal and Popular Mechanics after that. We’ve stayed in touch. A decade ago, Allen wrote Clapton’s Guitar: Watching Wayne Henderson Build The Perfect Instrument. The book, its subject matter, and the writer all inspire me.
