Stealth
by Steve L.

After almost 14 years I figure that it is about time that I wrote and told you how much I have enjoyed riding the bike you made for me.

I have have enjoyed it immensely.

Since 1961, I have ridden 4 road bikes. A Raleigh Grand Sport (about 5k miles), the two Cinellis shown in this picture (about 25k and 90k) and my Sachs (about 70k).

When I started feeling that the second Cinelli was ready to retire, Ric Hjertberg at Wheelsmith suggested that your bikes occupied the same role that Cinellis had in the 60's. So I bought it on his recommendation. I have never been sorry.

Starting about five years ago many techno cyclists who I met on the road started commenting about my cool old steel bike. In the last year of so I've started hearing "what a classic". My favorite is "Is that a stealth Sachs?" (Like the 66 Cinelli it has no decals) I still think of it as my new bike.
