Like my wedding day and the birth of my daughter, the day I first rode my Richard Sachs bike is one I will never forget.  A regular bike satisfies your need for motion.  A Richard Sachs bike also addresses your need for emotion.

I got back into cycling three years ago after I had to quit running due to an arthritic hip.  Cycling is now my only form of exercise and I decided that I wanted a custom bike that was as comfortable as possible.  I saw the article in Cigar Aficionado about Richard and fell in love with his bikes.

After several phone calls to Richard and anxious months of waiting (including an extra month because Richard had some photos taken of my bike) I was rewarded with an absolute beauty.

I still have my arthritic hip but when I'm on my Richard Sachs bike I feel like I could ride forever.  It is very likely I will have a hip replacement later this year and getting back on my Sachs bike will be my motivation to recover as quickly as possible.  I'm also training for the Markleeville Death Ride this summer as my last ride before the operation.  I just might have to reward myself with an order for another Sachs bike.
