BALTIMORE, MD (December 17, 2001): With 7 podium appearances, including 4 Gold medals, the Richard Sachs-CYBC Cyclocross Team, lead by Jonathan Page, won more awards than any other team at this past weekend's USCF Cyclocross National Championships and Cyclocross SuperCup finale. At Baltimore's Patterson Park, not only did the Team Richard Sachs/CYBC rider convincingly win the SuperCup final, but 3 of his teammates collected an additional 4 medals at the National Championship races held the same weekend. Jonathan also earned a podium appearance in the National Championships with his 4th place in the Elite Men's race the previous day. Jonathan Page, who has been racing cyclocross in Europe since September, will return to Europe after Christmas with his mechanic Cori Book, where he will contest the three remaining UCI World Cups in France (6 January), Switzerland (20 January) and the Netherlands (27 January). Jonathan's performance also earned him a spot as a member of the US National Cyclocross Team, and he will compete in the UCI World Cyclocross Championships in Zolder, Belgium (3 February). "This is the culmination of several years of growing our 'cross team to be a force on the National and International cyclocross scenes," stated Richard Sachs, who hand-made all the custom lugged-steel frames the team races on. "We now move our attention back to the European racing calendar to gear up for the World's in February."
