Team Richard Sachs/CYBC Fields Top Cyclocross Team CHESTER, Conn. (September 21, 2003) Richard Sachs, one of North America's premier bicycle framebuilders, will continue sponsorship of his namesake cyclocross team for the 2003-2004 season. During the past 11 years, Sachs' loyal sponsorship of 'cross teams in the US helped grow the sport and produced a top 'cross athlete in the process. Jonathan Page's successful assault on the European 'cross circuitbolstered by the support of Richard Sachsled to a national title for Page at the 2002 Cyclocross Elite National Championships. Since 1997, Sachs' teams have won nine National Championships, culminating with Jonathan Page's National Championship. "Jonathan has proven to be the most aggressive and consistent cyclocross racer this country has ever produced. We're thrilled to have had him on our team," said Sachs. "Jonathan will be moving to the revered Italian-based Guerciotti professional cyclocross team this season and we wish him and his wife Cori the very best of luck" For 2003-2004, Sachs' six-person team will compete in the New England Championship Cyclo-Cross Series, at UCI events across the US and in the Nationals. Several Richard Sachs team members also plan to race in Europe after the US Nationals in preparation for the 2004 World Championships.
